It took me a while to get used to the idea of an adventure. For too many years I was comfortable in small settings with little growth. It happened slowly, starting with my high school trip to Mexico & Germany. Even after making the first move to Japan, I didn't stray too far from my apartment. Maybe it was just wanting to get a small break from all the stress of life, but one day I went out on a big solo adventure, then another, and another. I realized there was a feeling of accomplishment in hiking that I never felt before, and people seemed to enjoy my crazy tales of adventure. I was hesitant to create a blog website as it's been so overdone, but I'm not wanting to write standard mountain reviews. I want to tell tales of adventure, and hopefully inspire others to have an adventure of their own. Japan has beautiful scenery and easy to access mountain trails, filled with history and hidden wonder. (Sometimes hot springs and delicious local food too). Of course, the mountains here also come with various perils and challenges. All of which, I hope to tell of in my adventure blog. Please enjoy!
